I have not made a Morse bag in quite some time. I received some fabulous fabric from Sharon in my Halloween swap, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be a bag. Here it is in all it's glory. I added the ribbon trim and the flower to the basic Morse bag. Not familiar with Morse bags? Here is the link.

By day, my sweet, innocent grandson Kaleb.....

By night, the infamous Captain Hook!

I am proud to say that he was the only Captain Hook at his preschool's Halloween party. He did meet up with Peter Pan and Tink though. He and Peter had a sword fight later that had to be broken up. He had a wonderful time and the costume survived the entire night. Score one for Meme.
Here is a pic of the cover I made for myheating pad this weekend. I have had it forever, it is my friend. The original cover died years ago. I kept saying I was gonna make another instead of wrapping a towel around it whenever I needed to use it. I finally got around to getting it done. I made it out of lilac colored fleece with cotton blends for the applique. I just drew the owl, cut out the pieces and machine sewed them on. I am pretty happy with it. Not a very good pic, but you get the idea.

Most of us crafters have probably made a tag or two, but for those who have not, The Feathered Nest has an awesome tutorial on making them. You probably already have everything you need right at home. These make gorgeous gift tags. You can make them to match your gift wrap.

These Halloween mini books by Elle's Studio are terrific. I think I will need to make one every year for Halloween for my grandson. ( who by the way STILL has not decided what he wants to be for trick or treating. Times a wastin', and my sewing hours are limited.)
